Re proposed new groupings for 2014, I like Luke's suggestion as it would reduce, for the most part, the number of classes raced to 2 per night, but having 2 groupings with 3 classes would make for a 7 week cycle rather than an 8 week one, allowing more races per class over the course of the year.

Steve & not only that ~ when you think of it, with 5 back to back IROC classes it will be so much easier for anyone of us to invite new persons to come and race @ FRC...

We were already doing 5 week cycles per event in 2013 and now with 7 week cycles in 2014 it could help with bringing back the old B's and new ones too :)

Way Ramesh,

You're sure having a very heartfelt 2013 Christmas time - some sad & happy days all at once... Condolences, Compliments of the Season & now Congratulations...

WOW 28 years of Marriage!!! Such a grand achievement - I dont think I could have said best wishes any better than Gordon... and what Steve said with 28 years on the 28th. day of the month reminded me of something I will say, maybe because we racing/liming so long now :)

Anyway, its very noticable how you & your son breaking most (if not all) of FRC's records and now like you & your wife breaking another record in a life of wedlock :)

Thats very outstanding of you both - A Job Well Done!

Happy New Year Fellas!!!

You'll would like more for less or less for more here..:?:

Here is to some (maybe) very radical changes to FRC's 16 racing events in 2014.

A. VS - HS - G5SC & RC .................. 3 X 5 races @ 25 laps & 5 five-lap stages per car
B. MC - PC/LS/FTC ......................... 6 races @ 20 laps - 6 races @ 25 laps Mixed GT (Exotic) Team Racing
C. RGT - SC - F1 & *NSS .................. 3 X 5 races @ 35 laps & *6 races @ 35 laps
D. AM - GT - LMP & MP ................... 3 X 5 races @ 40 laps & 5 races @ 30 laps

I kind of average the (qualifying and racing) time periods for each group, between 2 - 3 hours and think anything less, wouldnt really worth someone's while ent :)

What do you'll think about this and in group B. check how there's no need to bring any cars and the one night (for sure) to invite new & old Bs alike... to come & have a go @ FRC!!!

See how I have the record for the first man to post a new topic in 2014 :D

Luke,

That will be the only record you will have at FRC for 2014.

Okay Doc - Let me worry bout that but some feed back here on four class groupings would be nice...

The "More for Less" means - more class groupings... eg: A. B. C. D. E. F. G and so on... which means less racing per event.

The "Less for More" of course means vice versa...

Luke,

Presently the only classes I will be able to run is in the Open modified and the IROC classes.
This will be great for me I will say more classes faster turn around.

Hi Luke,
I think that having 4 classes race at a particular event is a bit much. I prefer your earlier suggestion where there were 7 groupings, 2 of which were 3-class groups and 5 of which were 2-class groups. A very workable modification to this would be, as suggested at the last event, combining the 'IROC' GT cars into 1 mixed-GT class.

C: Mixed GT, F1
D: Restricted GT, Modified Production
E: Nissan GT-R, Slot.it Challenge
F: American Muscle, GT, LMP .

In keeping with Ramesh's suggestion of no more than two classes per event, here's what I propose:

A. Mini Challenge / Rally Car
B. Historic Saloon / Mod Prod
C. Nissan GT-R / Restricted GT
D. Vintage Sports / Group 5 Sports Car
E. F1 / American Muscle
F. Mixed GT / Slot. It Challenge
G. GT / LMP
