For everyone interested in the BTCC class, here are some measurements taken of my recently-acquired, out-the-box Honda Civic:
  • Body weight with interior: 24.9gm
  • Interior weight: 9gm
  • Complete car weight: 74gm
  • Front wheel/tyre diameter: 19.5mm
  • Rear wheel/tyre diameter: 19.57mm
  • Front track: 58.4mm
  • Rear track: 56.4mm
  • Ground clearance under magnet: Just under 1.0mm on a Scalextric Sport track. Inteferance fit of the 1.0mm gauge on a completely flat setup block.
This type of information assists with refining the proposed regulations above.

Alright Gordon but noticed the Scalextric specs at 58mm :|

So, to see 56.4mm on your list, it had me wondering ...

You do have some other measurements slightly over - however the weight of car is spot on 8-)

The lengths were all measured with a digital caliper and the weights with a digital scale, so they're pretty accurate.

Wouldn’t doubt your calculations (in the least bit) Gordon ... and now think Scalextric should check on their measurement department :-)
