Very nicely put Steve but find it's taking somewhat longer than normal for Gordon to reply.

Can't help but wonder if he's not too keen with the SGTC cars recommendation ..?

Hi Luke,

I've ben having a lot of distractions at work and at home, so I haven't been spending too much time on the forum. I have no problem with your suggestion at all. As Steve said, it will give your track project an initial set of analog cars to run.

Some extra thoughts Gordon,

Glad to know you're AOK with my (SGTC cars) suggestion and we can arrange collection, when next we have a meeting ... Remember the DPR chips are staying at FRC in exchange for the 6 pairs Silicone tyres (if fine with of course) and could recommend the chips be used for any FRC projects in the future ...

SGTC starting grid: (image compliments Gordon) FRC RD217 / August 2016

Concerning these 6 cars, they were first used (raced) around June 2014 and almost 3 years later 2017... (sorry I don't have sort of details with how many events/winners) would like to put forward - they be used ONE more time ..?

 Maybe for Ramesh's (top of page) suggested special class with simple - no magnets - requirements.

After all, I believe this class of cars were scheduled to be raced this coming Thursday April 13th. (FRC RD231) which was postponed to Thursday April 27th. and if agreed - it's just to remove 6 magnets ;-)

What's even interesting about this request - the race can still be done as an IROC competition.

What you and the other guys think :?:

Luke, some of the guys (myself included) are prepping cars for this no-magnet class that's planned for the next event. For those who don't have a car for it, perhaps they can each use one of the Ferraris.

That being the case Gordon - in black and white it sounds like a comforting possibility but in reality, seeing how you and the other guys tune non-magnet RC cars ...

I think it might be best to leave the magnets in the IROC SGTC cars :-)
