Great night of racing as usual at FRC, despite the small driver turnout. After a fairly long absence,the GTRs were lots of fun to race and rally action was as exciting as ever. Congrats to Ramesh on winning all categories contested, including Index Of Performance. Nice to see Dion doing some development work on his cars, including a Mod.Prod. contender for the next event. His driving and car preparation seem to be improving with every meeting.

Thanks guys always lots of fun especially the time of relaxing and talking and when we said it was 1.30 am we realized how late it was , but time goes fast when you are having fun , see you all next wk .

This reply could help & how Ramesh suggested a de-slotted car should be moved back a fixed distance ... and was very well brought about at this NSS event.

Plus in the same competition a total of 6 possible wins and (superb slotcar) racing driver Ram pulling off 4 of them for an overall victory ..! Now don't feel I am thinking Ram shouldn't have won so much races but rather ...

This would have been a perfect time to try out and maybe help bring about at other competitions - a winning car (with my suggested restriction rule) be placed in the pits causing it to be 1 lap down at the start of a race ... Which would have probably made it easier trading victories with each driver receiving more points. I say points because 2nd, 3rd and 4th place positions are so far behind. Don't you feel this restriction wouldn't have been (as Steve commented) like a hit or miss situation but instead, would have made racing circumstances for each race ~ so much more exciting

Sounding good or not and what are your thoughts?

Thinking about this a bit more, maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to try for a special set of three races. I was first thinking an IROC race, but those are 100% fair as is, with every driver having to drive every car from their respective throttles. Perhaps we can try this with our Mod Prod cars on Thursday coming after the regular points races are run.

Well Gordon,

Good minded of you allowing this idea (believe first of its kind) for a winning car restriction to be tested at a FRC racing event.

• The winning (or a changed) car is placed in the pits and must be the last car entering at the start of race.

Which I truly believe is going to give some sort of assistance for a level playing field and who knows - could even reap some kind of "new" slotcar tuning benefits

So it's not going to be a "dark day" for slot-car racing after all
