Race Report #182 - Thurs 11th December 2014 (VSIROC)
Re: Race Report #182 - Thurs 11th December 2014 (VSIROC)
Very enjoyable evening at FRC.
Events got off to a later than planned start due to a major traffic jam on the C/R Highway, a route traversed by the South team, Gary and, for this night unusually, me.
Turnout was fairly good although we missed the likes of Arden and Boo. There were nine drivers present and some visitors brought by Ramesh, namely brother Dennis and friend Brad.
There was a totally unexpected short award ceremony at which Gordon presented Luke B. with a very well deserved trophy for being the most outstanding driver for the year. Also unexpected but very much appreciated was the delicious food provided by Gordon and Debbie. Thanks a million !
The racing was great as usual. Those Vintage Sports cars (all kindly provided by Gordon) were all fun to drive and mostly very evenly matched. One car however, the GT40, ended the night in far worse condition than it started !
Congrats to Luke B. on the win.
Looking forward to the next event.
Have a very merry , holy Christmas and a safe, happy, healthy (and maybe even a little prosperous) new year !

Hooray ~ it all turned out to be a very entertaining night of racing and fellowship ... with all drivers and guests alike present.
A special thanks to Gordon preparing so many cool looking vintage model cars for all to race & enjoy in one place.
Imagine (hindsight would have it) I was going to miss this event. To make a long story short - thanks (again) to Gordon and Steve providing transportation for me to and from FRC. Yes, most of us did have low points getting to FRC and even during the racing heats but it all worked out to be a great and exciting last event in 2014.
Interestingly enough, the method used for getting into the final round of a full grid with 6 competitors was very thrilling. I believe this method should be done in the IROC classes when there's more than 6 drivers present.
A well thought out gesture by Gordon, awarding Luke B. with a plaque (and without doubt) for the most outstanding FRC driver in 2014.
Now even though, my name is Luke and I didn't get a plaque - my gift is ... Its always a pleasure racing at FRC and looking forward to 2015.
A Merry Christmas to one and all
Luke

Hi Guys around this time on a Thursday we would be on our way to frc for a night of racing , my slot car withdrawal has already started , thanks a lot to all who contributed to racing in 2014 , i must first make mention to the hospitality of Gordon and family and say a special thank you, blessed Christmas greetings to your entire family. One good way to know someone is to take part in some type of sport with them and racing can really show your true character, and i must say i appreciate the level of maturity at frc ,we had some interesting racing and with the big man rule in effect , all is well.I think Steve and I had the most amount of side by side racing , with Luke T on my bumper ,i thoroughly enjoyed every moment , looking foward to next season , our friend ship grew closer this year especially with Luke T getting to know us a little better and visiting with us in south with Steve and Alex thanks guys , Always remember why Christmas is so special, Christ came into the world so that those who believe in him would have everlasting life and this is my prayer , for the peace of Christ to be with you and your family and his favor of prosperity for 2015 from Ramesh and family and south team.bye see you all in 2015

Thanks Steve, Luke, Ramesh and all you fellow slot racers who help make FRC what it is. Merry Christmas to you and your families and all the very best in 2015 (except, not too much luck in the racing, OK?).
Have a great one!
