Guys,
I'm very excited about the Porsche Cup class, primarily because it will encourage competition as a result of its fairness for all drivers. The one question that comes to mind however is, which privileged six drivers will race at each event if there are more than six drivers present?
Here is where we can throw some ideas around before the class gets started so here's my idea. Why not have an entry form which drivers sign as they arrive at FRC with the first six signatories qualifying to drive? Bet this gets some latecomers to become early birds
Back in my karting days we did just this. There was a $10 registration fee and when you paid, your name was added to the list. The order of the list was used for gridding the karts for their first race (or something like that - we're talking 1979 and my old brain gets foggy about anything prior to last week).
So lets have your ideas... you each have a stake in this.

Which six drivers will drive the Porsche Cup cars?
Re: Which six drivers will drive the Porsche Cup cars?
GG this is a great and with the $10 too...
I'm Good 2 Go with it
You could use this fund for the cars racing components (motors/pinions,tyers "and most important" the 6 F1 Chips) which isn't cheap, that you purchasing right now in time for this event.
After all you have put so much effort, time and sure money too for us all to come and have a Blassst...
Fellas I cant see it being a probs, for GG to make back some cash.

Re: Which six drivers will drive the Porsche Cup cars?
Luke,
It wasn't my intention to make drivers pay a registration fee, I was just referring to how we did it back in the karting days. Also, I rethought the idea of buying the chips locally and decided to order them with the motors and tyres. I just placed the order online.
Anyway, all ideas regarding handling more than six drivers are welcome.

I know the paying idea to race at FRC (Porsche Cup) wasn't your intention... and very commendable of you.
The 6 997 Porsches were a gift to you for your great efforts with the new 3D FRC Circuit.
To set up of these six cars with all their racing components (for all and anyone to race) is going to be expensive for one person to see about - so its no big deal (for me) about your registration idea.
I think its a creative & excitng way to get some eager racers worked up!!!
I love the idea for all who wants to race in the Porsche (6 cars) Cup and only six persons could be picked.
After all, not everything in life is for free and its only 3 races for the night anyway and you cant please everybody...
