RACE REPORT #149 - November 28th 2013

Lambo Series, Restricted GT and Slot.It Challenge were the classes of the night for event 149 and six drivers came out to race them. Qualifying was close but no more so than in SC where the six cars were separated by 0.293 sec.

Three drivers shared the wins in the six LS races and racing was so close that pinpointing a winner was a guess at best. Things were quite different in both RGT and SC where team Bhola once again dominated, with Luke B. taking the lion's share of the wins.

At the end of the scheduled races we held two extra races with the Lambos for our hard-working marshals, Marlon and Jonathan. They had the benefit of six marshals to take care of their incidents!

As always, the night was entertaining and a lot of fun for everyone.

It was really good to see the guys and get back to racing after a few weeks break. The racing was as competitive as ever . The qualifying times in Slot.it Challenge point to how closely matched the cars were in this category and there was some extremely tight racing, with one race in particular where Arden and I completed the whole race basically nose-to-tail, and with him beating me by just over a car length ! The marshalls' races , despite having only two competitors, were fun to watch and I'm sure it were also fun for Marlon and Jon to drive. I hope that at their next appearance at FRC they'll take part in more races. Congrats to Luke B. for wins in RGT and SC as well as on the overall win. Thanks as usual to grandpa Gordon for hosting and publishing the race report.
Looking forward to racing this Thursday !

Just like Steve ,i always enjoy racing on thursdays and look foward to the fellowship with the frc guys, its a day i put as part of my weekly plans, just like a meeting, so i am very appreciative of having a place to race weekly and to thank Gordon for his commitment, Steve and Luke for being there always which i am sure at times might have been challenging, last wk we had the marshalls race which was encouraging for new drivers ,this will enable new drivers to grow and not be discourage when racing against seasoned drivers, Question how can we encourage racers to come out so we can make 2014 much more enjoyable for all?

That's the million-dollar question Ramesh. We really have to put our heads together on this.
