Hey GG - This "bmw mini departure" post, is Arden's... Not mines, just because I raced a BMW Mini in the HS class :D

Why must I think you are picking on me, I only raced it (bmw mini) because my escort glass is painted black and its illegal.

Also, im racing at FRC long enough to know what I have to do when somebody is really picking on me or things get out of hand (not this post) but for example, like Alex hand deliberately pulling my car off the track during a heated race... eh alex! Who vex "failure to win race" loss :!:

 I dont get vex, I just get even...

Now really ~ I think before things like this do get out of hand, Alex should be warned or reprimanded for this kind of "lil boy" behaviour

Putting all this aside - What I really want to say about this BMW Mini topic is, the call was needed to be made & was made very proper under FRC rules... No offence to Arden's thoughts :)

I did tell Arden this was going to happen and its a simple case like what happened with the Indy and F1 cars... The situation with Arden is, he has so much "slot car (analouge plus digital) builds" that when he came up with a winning car in the HS class, not very long after the bubble buss. Hard luck south boy 8-)

Arden you just have to keep moving... You remember you told me that the other day.

Luke

ps

WAAYYY! all yuh fellas writting so fast... just noticed everybody's post before I hit the submit button with mines!

See what you causing south boy - now my reply sounding like past tense

Ray should we call you MiniRay.
Oh gawd man Arden!!!!!!
I guess look for dat one........

Gordon and all, some chipping facts:
#45 and the pink Flower Power Mini were chipped the same way- The F1 chip sits on top of the motor, some material had to be removed from the dash and the seats, and the silver capacitor (?) on the chip is visible between the occupants.

For #13, the red, white and blue Italian Job Minis and the Police Mini, I realized that the back seat was big, empty, and not really detailed so I stuck the chip in there. A nice smooth piece of black electrical tape over it looks like a tonneau cover! Easy!

#177 has a nice rear seat with 2 detailed spare tires in it, so I went back to my earlier method, but managed to move the chip a bit further forward.

I *think* I can detect that the ones with the backseat chip are a little heavier in the tail, but they are ALL a lot of fun to drive. And it's amazing how six BMC Minis running can make even a small track look big!
Steve, I'm hoping to stop through in early July.

Best,
rrc
