FRC IROC COMPETITION REGULATIONS
General:
All regular FRC rules apply except where contradicted by any of the following special rules.
Classes:
These procedures apply to FRC's IROC classes (Mixed GT, Mini Challenge, Nissan Super Series and Scalextric GT Challenge)
Drivers:
Any number of drivers may take part.
Number of Races:
If there are six or fewer drivers competing, there will be a total of six races. If there are more than six drivers competing, there will be races equal to the number of drivers competing.
Qualifying:
There will be no qualifying for grid positions. Instead, all drivers will be assigned numbers based on the roll of a dice or pulling of cards.
Procedure (six or fewer drivers):
The driver drawing the lowest number drives the first race from driver station 1, next lowest from driver station 2, and so on. For the second race, the driver on the 6th driver station moves to driver station 1 and each other driver moves down one position. This is repeated for each race until all drivers have driven each of the six cars (a total of six races per driver).
Procedure (more than six drivers):
First race procedure is the same as above. For the second race, the driver on the 6th driver station steps out and drivers at stations 1 to 5 move down one position. Station 1 is taken by the 7th position driver. This is repeated for each race until all drivers have driven each of the six cars (a total of six races per driver).
Restrictions (all IROC classes):
No practicing allowed
No maintenance of any sort on any individual car (by any driver) during event.
Restrictions (MGT class):
No testing of any car's downforce.
No changing of cars. Once a driver selects and removes a car from the car pool, he must race that car in the upcoming race.
Marshals:
Drivers shall share marshalling duty when not driving.
